At Zeus and Sons we’ve been installing Solar since before it was cool.
Based in the sunny Hawke’s Bay it was a no brainer to add Solar to our humble list of electrical services.
Since we started in 2019 we have found the demand for solar increase year on year to the point where we are now installing between 30 - 50 panels every week.
This means since 2019 we’ve learnt all the tips and tricks to not only make your solar system as efficient as possible, we also make it look awesome!

How we can help:
Residential on-grid solar. On-Grid means that any excess power you generate can be sold to the electricity network. This is the most common and cost effective solar installation.
Commercial on-grid solar. Solar is especially great for commercial properties that use lots of power during the day, easily getting returns upwards of 10% in the first year. The voltage limit is also 1000v instead of the 600v residential limit, This means you can increase the amount of panels on 1 solar string by 40%, making it much easier to install which means you get more money!
Batteries. Store power you’ve generated during the day and use it at night. Get through power-cuts unscathed, the battery back-up kicks in so fast you won’t even know the power went out.
Back-up generators. Wired straight into your home switch-board never be caught without power again. This back-up generator will kick in if you lose both grid and battery power.
Off-Grid solar. You are entirely dependent on your own solar/electricity system. Usually installed for rural properties where it’s cheaper to install an off-grid battery and generator backed-up system than running grid power to the property.
Back-up PV points. A singular standard 2.5KW power socket that operates when grid-power is lost. Operates only when the sun is shining. Back-up PV points are a cheap alternative to batteries or generators. In a power-cut during the day you could still charge phones/laptops/other batteries, turn your Wifi router on, boil the jug and anything else that plugs into a standard power-outlet.
